Neoprene foams
Modern manufacturers are constantly competing with each other in the production of the most diverse types of wetsuits used for water sports, which allows for the formation of a huge variety – from thin, children’s, for swimming in warm water to thick (with a rubber layer thickness of up to 1 cm) and even dry ones neoprene wetsuits. Unfortunately, sometimes people are faced with a situation where the departure can be interrupted or delayed due to damage to the wetsuit. Most often, this happens when taking off / putting on, or as a result of unfortunate events.
In this way, tears, cuts, and holes appear, which, in turn, leads to the loss of the primary properties of the used equipment in terms of maintaining the swimmer’s body temperature.
Equipment for water sports, including wetsuits, is not cheap, so after they are damaged, many people decide to repair them in specialized services or on their own.
In this case, the majority chooses to solve the problem independently. Repairing a dry suit is not a difficult process, but it requires some skills and the use of the right product. In most cases, neoprene glue is used to solve this problem. It is not difficult to buy it, but the result of the repair can be any, because everyone “by eye” determines whether to pour into the cut, or to put a patch, to apply it on one side, or on both sides. Therefore, we offered the market a specialized product for repairing neoprene – Ulow Liquid PVC.
Using it, you only need to degrease the surface and pour a layer of substance from the tube on top of the cut. After drying, which occurs after 1.5-2 hours (and complete drying takes about a day), the suit can be used. Simple, isn’t it? Perhaps easier than anything you’ve ever heard about wetsuit repair before…
Our product is quickly gaining popularity in Europe. Liquid PVC for Wetsuit Repair is also used to repair a number of materials. Among them, PVC fabrics, and trilaminate (with a polyester top layer), and artificial leather, and even “impossible to repair” polyurethane. All this was achieved due to the clear specialization of the substance during its development. We knew what items our user would repair and created a composition of components specifically for this. In addition, knowing the variety of colors and shades, for example, at surfer parties, we specially developed a transparent version, in addition to the five main colors.
Liquid PVC from TM ULOW allows you to strengthen seams, fill cracks, fill holes and even fill empty space when part of the material is missing. After drying, an elastic, permanent connection is formed, resistant to ultraviolet light, temperatures and many solvents. That is, it will be much more difficult to damage the patch than to damage the wetsuit itself.
We hope that this information was useful to everyone, and that we fully answered the question: how to glue a neoprene suit and how to glue neoprene.
WARNING! Ulow Liquid PVC does not repair RIPSTOP. Because this beautiful and strong material is based on nylon.
