Patches for inflatable boats
Probably, every fisherman has encountered situations in which a broken boat or damaged equipment not only negatively affected the efficiency of fishing, but also completely prevented them from continuing fishing. There can be many reasons for this type of damage: a sharp stone in the water or on the shore, rodents in the garage, negligence and many other more or less objective factors.
Of course, most people, in this case, see the solution of the problem in entrusting the equipment to the hands of professionals, where the working model is quite simple, but takes a lot of time: first, the boat is completely dismantled, glued inside, and the boat is reassembled to its previous state. Because of the significant investment of time and money, boat users often look for alternative solutions, including those that they can handle on their own. Today, in stores, you can find many universal products, which unfortunately turn out to be ineffective, or can even cause damage to the equipment. The point is that the appropriate solution should be developed specifically for this type of material, and should not be adapted or universal. Each structure is characterized by a different chemical composition with different binding properties.
An interesting fact – as many as 80% of inflatable boat trips end with visible or invisible damage.
Why do we mention this question, which is so obvious to fishermen? An innovative and high-quality product has appeared on the European market, which facilitates and speeds up the process of repairing products made of PVC, vinyl and other materials that are often used for the production of, in particular, inflatable boats. Ulow Liquid PVC is a joint project of Ukrainian specialists. Our product was created for people who do not want to spend money on expensive repairs in a professional salon, but at the same time want to maintain the highest quality of their equipment.
Repairing an inflatable boat will become incredibly easy if you follow a few rules. The main advantage of repairing with liquid PVC is that, unlike ordinary glue, Ulow Liquid PVC does not glue two surfaces, but creates a new layer that, due to its high adhesion, completely reproduces the damaged surface.
After applying liquid PVC to this material, a chemical reaction occurs, during which some components melt the material, and others create an elastic, plastic layer of polymers at this place. The upper layer of the material merges with liquid PVC, thanks to which the damaged area after repair is not only sealed, but also more resistant to subsequent mechanical damage, compared to the surrounding areas of the material that do not have a patch.
WARNING! Repair of rubber boats is not carried out using Ulow Liquid PVC, because these materials have a completely different structure and are repaired in different ways. This also applies to boats made of expensive and durable Hypalon, which is also not the target material for our product.
