Contemporary manufacturers compete in the production of the most comfortable foams used for water sports, which allows for a huge variety of choices – from thin children’s foams to swimming in warm water through costumes with thicker material (layer up to 1 cm) and ending with dry neoprene suits. Unfortunately, many people experience a situation in which great holiday fun is interrupted or completely prevented by damage to the neoprene coveralls. Most often this happens during dressing / taking off your outfit or as a result of other unlucky events.
Then, abrasions, cracks, holes are created, which causes loss of the basic usable property, that is maintaining the body temperature. Equipment for water sports, including wetsuits are expensive, so after their damage many people decide to repair them in specialized companies or by themselves.
Patching neoprene isn’t difficult, but requires a little skill and the right product. In most cases, a special adhesive for neoprene foam is needed to solve this problem. The purchase of such an adhesive doesn’t cause any problems, but many issues arise as for example: how exactly to patch the leak, to apply it along the cracks or to make a wide patch, apply the substance on one side or two?
Thinking about all these issues, we have created a specialized product for repairing neoprene – Ulow Liquid PVC. The application requires only degreasing the surface and applying a layer of the substance directly to the damage. After drying, more or less 1.5-2 hours. (the entire drying process lasts 24 hours) the suit can be used again. Isn’t it easy? Perhaps this is the easiest solution than anything you’ve heard about repairing the suits so far.
Our product is quickly gaining popularity in Europe. Ulow Liquid PVC for the repair of neoprene wetsuits is also used to repair other types of materials, e.g. PVC, trilaminate (polyester-based) and eco-leather, and even considered as an “unrepairable” polyurethane. All this was achieved thanks to the precise specialization of the substance during its development. We were aware of the materials that are difficult to repair, which is why the composition of the substance and the selection of components has been specially developed. We also took into account the variety of colors and shades, for example for surfing people, in addition to the basic five colors, we have created a transparent version.
Ulow Liquid PVC allows you to strengthen the seams, fill small holes and gaps. After application, a flexible permanent connection is created, resistant to UV radiation, temperature changes and to many solvents. The final effect will make much more difficult to damage the created patch than the wetsuit itself.
We hope that we have brought you closer to issues related to patching and sealing the neoprene suit as well as the neoprene material itself.
Attention! Ulow Liquid PVC should not be used to repair RIPSTOP type material. The basis of this strong material is based on nylon, to which our product can not be used.
